Default Your Sympathy Is Not Enough!!

    Assalaamu alaikum,

The decimation left behind by Cyclone Nargis is not getting as much media coverage as it should: we’re beginning to witness the full extent of the devastation all over Burma. The region has not seen a disaster of this scale for decades and the death toll, which already stands at 22,000, shows no sign of receding. With millions of people displaced and reported missing, the objective remains to get as much clean water, food, shelter and clothing to the survivors as soon as possible. The risk of disease and infection is high and without vital sanitation, this humanitarian catastrophe is due to worsen still.

Muslim Hands is launching an urgent appeal for funds and is dispatching aid teams to the region. Survivors are in desperate need of food, clean water, shelter, sanitation and clothing. Please donate generously as your financial support will help save lives. Go to www.muslimhands.org, or call us on 0115 911 7222

Please get in touch with us if you want to organise a fundraising event to raise money for victims of the cyclone. Call Afaaf 07859 074745 or Faizel 07891 489112 for information!

Hi! It was so terrible how much destruction was caused by Cyclone Nargis and it’s so great that you want to make a difference! An online fundraiser has already been created on YourCause.com and can be seen right here: http://www.yourcause.com/charliestruwe The donations received on the website will go directly to the “Direct Relief Foundation” to help the hundreds of thousands of Cyclone victims who are in need of immediate assistance. YourCause.com is a new website that makes it easy to manage the fundraising process online and handles donations for you. Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for helping out- they really do need our help.
