Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.
Sister "new2islam", Alhamdulillah. Your zeal for learning Dua and Darood is really praiseworthy, where I see that many "Old Muslims" (i.e. who are muslim from their forefathers) have no eagerness to learn these. I want to discuss from the past. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala sent Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) with "complete Islam". Till the day of Qiyamah, people who will come in this world must follow the Shariah to be successful in this world and hereafter. All the Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum followed each and every section of Islami Shariah completely and as a result Allah (SWT) granted them as "Jannati" (inhabitant of Jannah). Shariah is the sum of four things:
1. The holy Quran,
2. Hadith,
3. Opinions of Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum,
4. Opinions of authentic Ulema.
So, only websites and books are not adequate to learn any subject of Islam. It is necessary also to keep contact with Ulema. Because, Islam is similar to an ocean. An expert sailor is compulsory to show you the right way. May Allah(SWT) help you in every step of life. Aameen.

Dear Brother rqsnnt,
I am not capable of giving you strong reference about my thread. Because I didn't read it in the book. I heard it from a lecture of Maulana Mahmudul Hasan (D.B.),one of the most reputed Ulama of Bangladesh. I think, to get strong reference you can communicate with Ulama of this forum or anywhere.
To enlist all the parameters to find out authentic Ulama is also very hard for me. I am writing here those I know:
- He must possess basic major Sunnah,
- He must learn Ilm from reliable sources,
- He must have clear conception about Quran and Hadith,
- He must be included in the"Ahle Sunnah Waal Jama'at" etc. I learnt these from different books, but I can not remember those names. I think, you should take help from an Ulama in this case also. Jazakallah.

No, Maolana Mahmudul Hasan (D.B.) doesn't go to appear at TV programmes. He is the founder of many Madrasahs and the Ameer of the effort of "Dawatul Haq". His main Madrasah is situated at Jatrabari,Dhaka. I can not remember the real name of it but people call it by the name "Jatrabari Madrasah". He is the principal of it. The link you supplied is correct and I also know it. In fact there is no difference between these two. But it will be a long thread if I start to explain. Moreover, my explanation may not satisfy you and everything can't be explained by writing. So I'm recommending you to meet him. May Allah S.W.T help us to obey Deen. Aameen.
