Can one be a tablighi and still make baya'a to Shk Nuh?

If the Shk's position is for the men to not go out in khurooj, then how can someone be tablighi seeing that tabligh is such a central part of the tj?

This is a genuine question, and I would be most grateful for some answers inshaAllah.

Sheikh Nuh does not even allow his murids to sit in the Majalis of other Shadhili shuyukh. How can he allow one to be a tablighi while at the same time being a murid of his?

The essential principle in this case is that he does not allow his tarbiyyah to interefere with other tarbiyyahs. This is what he took from Sheikh Abdul Rahman al-Shaghouri, who also, would not allow sheikh Nuh from attending the majalis of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Isa, who was another Shadhili Sheikh at the time.

That is the reason why I have decided not get bay't to the shaykh. I have immense love for the Shaykh and have emailed him some queries I have had, but due to the above reason, I shall not be formally taking Bay't with the Shaykh.

I understand the Shaykhs position on the issue, though it would have been nice to be Bay't with the Shaykh and be involved in TJ, unfortunately, it is not to be.

This does not mean one cannot take benefit from him spiritually, through his Ilm or other ways.

Did you contact the Shaykh himself and get his position?

No I didn't actually,Muhammadnur. But the same reason I have heard from a few mureeds of the Shaykh so im assuming that is the position of the Shaykh. But you are right, I will email the Shaykh to get his position and also specifically for me too.

So what about the concept of khurooj? Is it wrong, because essentially the men who go out in khurooj go to places where alot of Muslims are not there and they benefit from it immensely, there are even conversions to Islam?

In such a case one should Allah's help for guidance.
It's a bit like getting married. No one should take the tariqa without researching it thoroughly. Istekhara is essential.

There must be someone out there who does know - I am a mureed myself. But some of my closest and dearest friends are not. I have asked Shk Nuh but his answer was so brief, and I feel a little disappointed because it seems like its a closed off topic that is not meant to be discussed. I am more than happy to give my email address to anyone who can clarify it for me?

Like I said, this is a genuine question and I have no intention whatsoever to create or cause trouble
