Mashallah your are lucky to have your father being an aalim. Funny and unfortunate thing is that not only in my family, but I don't even have a relative who is an aalim. If Allah will, atleast may be I be the first one in all. Please make dua for me.

Here are some numbers of Madrassah's in south Africa, maybe u could call whichever one u thinking of joining, our dialing code is 0027 and as you know u should omit the first zero from the city code... Hope this helps!!

Thank you everybody for helping us sooo much (this goes from the first person of the thread till now and future. I didn’t even had to ask a lot of thing but people had already asked question for me(as in for themselves). Jazak Allah Khair. All info yet I have obtained about Darul Ulooms is completely from Sunniforumm. May Allah bless all of you for your effort.

Till now, I have learned that the best place for married couples in Soft Africa in regards to madaris is Azadville and Zakariya. But I still don’t know which one is better for me. Let me know if somebody have any suggestion for me for where to go?

Also, there are few things I need to clarify for myself. Please answer me the following if you can:

    1. I read in a thread of zakariya that aalim course is for 6-7 years. First year(Pre-alim) optional.
    - Can you please clarify if it is optional for both Azadville(male) and Zakariya(male)?
    - Is it 6 years minimum(if we don’t take the first year)?
    - How much will not taking first year effect on my later on studies?
    2. How many years course is for Female Madaris in Azadville and zakariya?
    3. How far is walking distance between male and female madaris:
    - Azadville male to azadville female?
    - Zakariya male to zakariya female?
    4. What is the best mean for traveling to buy necessities? (bus, taxi or personal car)? If personal car, how much are cars there? Let’s say Toyota corolla 2000 or Toyota Camry 2000?
    5. How much importance is given to Niqaab for both Azaadville(female) and Zakariya(Female)(just curious)
    6. Can you please provide me with the thread for both Azaadville (female) and Zakariya(female).

    Jazak Allah Khair.

Brother why don't you call the madrassah you chose instead of asking many people b'cos not all info people give is correct. If I were u, and say I decided on Azaadville I would have called the madrassah, asked them if they had an email address for me to pose a few questions and in that way I would know all the info is correct, I don't know but I never like asking lots of people I prefer going direct. Anyway hope u come right cos I will have to find out all the questions besides number 5, I know from friends they are very strict with hijaab and guards keep watch the entire day to see girls don't go out without permission, and any outsiders coming in...

I will Inshallah still try calling them tomorow. Jazak Allah khair for your help though and I hope your friend may even provide me with the answers if I can't contact them.

    Asalam Alikum

I'm 24 years old and plan to go to Azaadville for the alim course next year (when I'm 25). Does the madrassa accept students my age? What challenges will I face for being 25 years old at the madrassa? advantages and disadvantages? Are there more people of the same age at the madrassa? What are other alternatives for a person who is in his mid-twenties to study the deen?

    Thankyou for your answers

I was told that there is currently such a person studing at Darul Uloom Azaadville.

Could somebody please bring me in urgent contact with that person who would, insha'Allah be the ideal person to assist me.
