Question Sufi Lodges in North America?

    Sufi Lodges in North America?

    A medieval khanqah in Isfahan

I was wondering about sufi lodges (khanqah, tekke, zawiya) in North America. Do they exist and if they do, where are they located, what are the conditions of salik to stay there, and what tariqah does the particular tekke follow?

So after searching and searching the only zawiyah in the States I found was Naqshbandi one in upstate NY. I can't believe I haven't been able to find any others. I heard there an amazing one in Arizona or somewhere in the South West.

I don't think so. I would urge you to visit the dergha in the catskills mountains. It like the old days .. high in the mountains .. young men working on farms cutting hay .. milking sheep..cows..etc. 5 daily salah with zikr after ..daily suhba of the shaykh and loud or silent zikr in the night. Everything revolved around taming the nafs ..hard work..zikr..prayers and suhba of shaykh.
