Verily, Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O Believers! send blessings upon him and salute him with a worthy salutation". (Qur'aan - 33:56)

Generally, they will have "Siddiqui" or "Farooqi" after their name, but not always.
Mujaddad Alf-e-Sani [r.h] was Farooqi.

can some one tell about Abrar-ul-haq sahab, i heard he is farooqi

hazrat shaikh asif hussain farooqui (damat barakaatuhum) is a descendant of sayyiduna umar (ra)
I knew that Maulana Ilyas Khandelwiwas a descendant of Abu Bakr
but didn't realise about other high ranking Scholars from the sub continent were too.
I was actually thinking about a similar topic the other day, and got thinking, do you guys think that depending on the lineage, do yuo think that Allah has blessed the qualities of Nabiwithin his lineage and the same for the lineage of the Sahabah
.
I say this because every one of the 4 Shayakhain has distinctive qualities, and if you look at the scholars from the sub continent, who some are from the lineage of Umar, then those scholars are strict and firm on certain issues, just like Umar
was.
Its like Allah has kept the specialities of their Khilafat within the Ummah through the scholars who are linked to those blssed people.
I could be waaaaaaaaay off the mark, but just a thought, which I thought i'd share.
Storms brewing.......................

A large number of senior 'Ulama from the Sub-continent were/are descendants of Sayyiduna Abu Bakrand Sayyiduna 'Umar
![]()
There were/are also many descendants of Sayyiduna 'Uthmanamongst the Sub-continental 'Ulama

Why is that so, I mean when did the descendants of these great companions (radiyallahu anhum) came to the subcontinent?
Not surprising that many great scholars arose in the ISC

The Sahaba were Arabs.
'When i command you about something pertaining to your religion, do accept it for i do not attribute lies to Allah and when I'm expressing my own personal opinion, keep in mind that I am merely human being in this regard.'
--Prophet Muhammed (p.b.u.h)--from Sahih Muslim--

Because 124,000 sahaba came into this world, but only a few thousand are buried in mecca and medina. The rest are scattered all over the world, only Allah knows where all their blessed resting places are.
This tells you that they never stood still, and moved on and on to spread Islam.
Islam is about movement, the Islamic calendar isn't established at the birth of our prophet pbuh, or his nabuwat at 40, but at time of hijra which was a movement.
Quraan was not revealed at one spot but at different locations whilst our prophet pbuh was on the move.
Life shows us that results are achieved when there is movement, not static.
This was the purpose in life which the sahaba recognised from very early on and therefore the work of tableegh was established. This is why descendents of noble families like Uthman and Umar and Abu Bakr and countless sahaba will be everywhere.
