Islamic foundation do a large range of books for kids and also Taha publishers have a nice range of kids books. The largest selection of books I have seen are IN Dar Al Taqwa on 0207 935 64385

I bought a lot of books from www.goodwordbooks.com the only problem in them is that there are pictures of animals so that's really annoying!

    Assalaamu'alaikum Warahmat'ullah
My wife and I, with the help of the Seerah Foundation, have started a children's book publishing venture, which we hope insha'Allah will be of benefit to Muslim children living in the west, giving them more variety in the material that is available, and also in quality insha'Allah.
    http://www.stonefaruq.com/booksforchildren

We have published 2 books for pre-school children already (which coincidentally happened to be counting books), but we hope to publish more this year insha'Allah, expanding into other age groups and other topics.
We will update our progress regularly insha'Allah on our Blog. Ask for our books at your local Islamic Bookshop.
    jazak'Allah khair, wassalaamu'alaikum warahmat'ullah

Im not sure if this is ok from the perspective of ahlus sunnah, but it looks promising for Islamic children books.. i thought of ordering for my bookstore.

Salam, these days theres quite a collection of good islamic books for kids and Alhamdulillah there are more and more coming out

for young children books by Goodwordkids are fun to read and colour in but like sister Amina said they do have illustartions of animals

however "Book of Qur'an people for kids" by Goodword is quite handy for children as a reference book or even as a quick summary to read together. this book is aimed at 8 or above.

the following may not be suitable for kids more for teenagers nevertheless here are the details:

"A Muslim Boy's Guide to Lifes's Big Changes" by Sami Khan (there is one for Girls too)

"The World of Teens" Part 1 & 2 by Moulana Muhammad Yahya Ibn Faruq (i believe there will be/is part 3)
