    Question Ramadan Diet issues

A few years ago when i was in my mid teens i tried to complete all the fasting days of ramadan and failed at sixteen days when i was taken into hospital with a strange stomach ache - nothing was medically wrong with me apart from what was said to be dehydration that christmas i had the same symptoms and told i had zollinger ellision syndrome. Where the stomach cannot digest food as well as others do. i have since never fasted during the month of ramadan however im now 26 and have better control of this condition and i feel the quilt of not fasting for all these years.

Is there any set diet that anyone else maintain pre - ramadan that help their body from not becoming dehydrated. I am convinced i am doing something wrong here. maybe the final meal i am having wrong - or breaking my fast with the wrong foods.

can anyone else please let me know what their routine is as i am doing something wrong?

I would say to drink lots of water, and avoid cups of coffee and tea well before Ramadhan. In Ramadhan at suhur have breakfast that releases energy slowly and allows you to stay energised through the day. Break your fast with some dates and water, after praying the maghrib salah have a light meal (avoid spicy foods) with lots of fruit, vegetables, yogurt and salad....some rest/sleep perhaps after dhur may help, Insha'Allah.

Someone qualified perhaps your GP would be able to suggest a meal plan that may suit your needs insha'Allah.
