    Default The Nasheed Thread

    Assalamu Alaikum Wr Wb,

As I'm a mega fan of English & Arabic Anasheed, Urdu nazams/naats I thought I'd start a nasheed thread. So please do post links to the online nasheeds/nazams that you love listening too. But before posting please make sure that the audio you post does not fall under the category of 'Music'. Make sure it's all halal, absolutely no musical instruments . I advise you to read Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam's article, Music and Singing: A Detailed Fatwa, first. Jazakallahu khair.

One of my favourite Flash nasheeds: Ever Wonder (The nasheed itself is called 'Al-Ghurabaa (The Strangers)' by Sa'ad al-Ghamdi)

    Enjoy

    Wassalam.

What other ones are good on there?

They have two versions of Goraba there.

Bro Goldi try listening to "Fartaqi" and "H'idjaab".

Many of Zain Bhikha's nasheeds are good. "Time" and "Orphan Child" are really awesome. I'll post the lyrics when I get a chance.

    Assalamu alaykum,

My first post here, MashaAllah this looks (at first glance) an excellent site!

My first contribution to this thread:

A qasidah penned by the late Gnostic and Spiritual Master Shaykh Abdal-Rahman al-Shaghouri (may Allah sanctify his secret) Qasidah al-Shaghouri, sung by some Shadhili Munshidin from Birmingham.

    Assalamu Alaikum Wr Wb,

Jazakallahu khair for all the nasheed links. Keep it up! Just one thing though, if you could post not more than 3 nasheeds per post, so that way, Insha-Allah, we can listen and enjoy each individual nasheed. Jazakallahu khair.

Yeah you should visit his site http://www.zainbhikha.com

I read his interview...he states he likes to take the conservative on music...Which is pretty cool...considering most artists go for the alternative...the moderate view...
