. Really lovely na`at. Even lovelier if one pays attention to the meaning.

It probably is humming yet it sounds like an instrument, Mustaqeem Sahir who sings the songs 'This is Islam' and 'Allahu Akbar' and many other songs like that has a voice where he can make some nice humming tones to it that sounds like instruments but it's just his voice doing that.

I've heard Mustaqim Saahir and its clear that its his voice in the background. However, i'm 100% sure in many arabic anaasheed they use bass guitars. I have a habit of listening to qura'an/anaasheed VERY loud in my car. And thats how i figure out whether a nasheed has an instrument or not, because guitars don't transition as smoothly as voices (according to a friend of mine who used to be all into this stuff) and with the volume so high, its easy to distinguish. And seriously, sometimes i'd find a nasheed which sounded really nice, and i'd listen to it for a few days, then one day i would all of a sudden hear the bass guitar hidden really deep into the track and that would just mess everything up. That's why i've given up most anaasheed, except Abu 'Abd al-Malik and Taariq Abu Ziyaad, because none of their anasheed have any instrument in them, and most of their poems were written by 'ulamaa of the salaf (like 'Abdullaah ibn al-Mubaarak) or other later scholars and poets. And regarding the former, I know from a brother who has met him that he is truly into his deen. Many other munshideen, subhanAllah, from all the pictures they have of themselves on websites, it doesn't look like they're too religious, wallaahu a'alam though.

    Salam,

the website www.hanafi.co.uk has a number of nasheeds, all of which are excellent, on it. Most you would have heard of already (note for the ahmed bukhathir fans, there's 2 albums on that site) but there's a couple which are not all that well known, and in fact they have been ripped straight from certain videos.

The nasheed called "shaheed" is from a Chechnya video called "Russian Hell 3".
    http://www.islamic.pwp.blueyonder.co...io/shaheed.mp3

and another nasheed, also called "shaheed" is from a Palestinian video (note that this is completely different from the above one)

    My other favourites include:

In regards to urdu, here are my favourite ones, also available from hanafi.co.uk

    As-salaamu 'alaykum,

I was just wondering if anybody knows where I can download the nasheed 'dastooruna'...I'm not sure who its sung by.

Also, anyone heard of 'Our Children, Our Future'? The Brits would probably know. I remember that nasheed being played on Radio Ramadaan years ago. Balabil Al-Tahleel have the title up...but not the nasheed!
