i've been looking for a certain nasheed but i dont know the name, although i do rememeber that it was up on www.saleel.com around august time... it was a nasheed that you first heard as soon as the page loaded..i believe it starts wiht: "Allahummmaaaaa..Sali'Alaaa..." i'm pretty sure..i think..THINK it may have been up in teh veryy early days of sunniforum, when you would goto sunniforum.com and be greeted wiht teh message and that nasheed......

The particular nasheed you refer to was a small clip of a durood recited by brother Hassen Rasool. He is yet to release his CD, though a few small clips can be heard by going to the following pages:

There seems to be a new rendition of Qasida Burdah out now... similar to the one by al-Husayn, but this one only contains the duff, and it has Sami Yusuf influence. Hmm. I'm still not convinced that it's permissible, though.

On any account, if it stops people listening to the musical one by al-Husayn, that's a "good" first-step I guess.

asalamualaikum i was hoping somebody could tell me what the "music" is in the background..computer generated?...is this permissible?..or is that people humming?.. could some one who Knows please shed some light upon this....also if this is a type of instrument does this mean that Fartaqi and a few more of Ahmed Bukahtir's nasheed would be considered impermissible?....
