I don't know much about him. But there were strange rumours going about his death. I won't mention them as they were front page on paki newspapers which I don't believe a word of.

Nusrat was a Shia Qawwal, turned musician. When his grave was re-opened(for what reason?) , his tongue was folded all over his head , like a bandage. Probably the shamelessness of the lyrics he sang.

I asked this to my relatives back in pakistan and they said they never heard of it and that it was a baseless rumor.
And if he were to ask for a gentle lady in marriage, he would be refused, and when he leaves the world it does not miss him, and if he goes out, his going out is not noticed, and if he falls sick, he is not attended to, and if he dies, he is not accompanied to his grave.

I really love the nasheed "Last Breath" by Ahmed Bukhatir. The lyrics are just too good

yeah I hear you...but u know what's funny...that same nasheed has been mentioned a gazillion times...i guess Ahmed Bukhatir's gotten more popular responses than the likes of other popular nasheeders (cough Sami Yusuf) (Personally I detest the latter's nasheeds...except for a select few...you know that one called supplication, and the other called meditation) They're pretty awesome...but umm...the rest is all daff + curious sounds mixed...

786...umm...I'm not quite sure I share your taste in Nasheeds. But I do enjoy Zain Bhikha...

786 is very instrumental They've got only a select few nasheeds without any instruments ...

exactly why I refrain from listening to 786 etc.

Whose heard of the Nasheed Shaheed Alkawn. His nasheeds are alright...all mouth no instruments...he like hums and stuff to create a tune...
