عَرَبَاتٌ تَدَفَّقت ****تُشبهُ الهائجَ الخِضَم
وعليها تَكَوَّمَتْ ****زُمَرٌ طَيشُهَا احتَدَم
وعلى كلُ ساعدٍ*** رَايَة زَاحَمَت عَلَم
حُشرَ الناسَ تَحتَها*** اُمَمٌ اُثْرِها اُمَم
مَاجَتِ الارضُ بالوُرُو***دِ وَطيشُ الرَخَاء عَم
فتساءلتُ وَالاَسَى ****يُنذَرَ القلبُ وَالالم
هَل فلسطينُ حُررت ****وقِطَاف العَناءِ تَم
ام بشيشان دُمِّرَت**** قُوَّةَ الُملحِدَ الاذم
قيل لا بل فريقنا ****فاز في لعبة القدم
اي سخف مدمر**** عن فساد الشعوب نم
والى اي خيبة**** هبطت هذه الامم
انا اقسمت بالذي**** برء الكون من عدم
وكسى ثوب عزة ****كل من بالهدى اعتصم
ان قنعنا بسخفنا**** وركنا الى النعم
فخطا الخصم ماضي****ات من القدس للحرم
عندها يندم الجمي****ع ولا ينفع الندم

Translation (rough):

Vehicles were overflowing (the roads),
Resembling the violence of the oceans,

And on top of them are piled,
groups of restless, excited people.

On every forearm,
there are flags which unite the people.

The people are drawn under them,
One group following the next group.

The land seems to swell with the arrival,
And everyone is increased in their excitement.

So (trying to find out about the reason for the exictement) I ask around,
With a sincere heart and sincere feelings,

Has filisteen been freed,
and the harvesting of pain stopped?

Or has Sheeshan overcome,
the power of the evil heretics?

It was said, No,
Rather our team has won the soccer game!

Which demolishing stupidity,
from the decay of the (morals of the) people,

And to which failure,
will these groups be destroyed?

I swear by the One,
Who is free from the emptiness of the land,

And who clothed with a garment of 'izzah,
all those who clung to the guidance,

That if we are heedless of our stupidity,
And we rely on our luxuries,

Then the advance of the adversaries,
will reach from the Quds to the Haram.

With it (finally) people will regret,
But to what avail is regret?

With it people will regret,
On a day where regret will have no avail.



As the basketball season ended i thought i'd finally see the end of all the 'bandwagon' excitement. But alas, for 5 hours a day i am around two football (soccer) fans. May Allah give us the tawfeeq to leave the mata' and strive for the aakhirah.

i'm sure it is. Its nothing uncommon, so many anasheed use it in the background because it sounds pretty close to someone with a really deep voice humming.
