Unfortunately, Dawud's faith is a big question mark: http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/show...d-Wharnsby-Ali

While his website has now removed that passage, (the first post there was copied from his official website), I haven't heard that he has officially come back to Islam either. Best to stay away and spread the word.

Please have a look into the German Anaasheed Thread.

Also enjoy the attached Arabic nasheed about Palestine, called Namdhi Filasteen — a wonderful nasheed .

I dont really like listening to many of the nasheeds nowadays, but what i really love are poems of the predecessors, esp when recited nicely (that is without many extra effects).

The 5 BEST in this regard are (that i know of), with my favourite first:

Laysal Ghareeb - The Stranger Is Not of Sayyiduna Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib ().
Recited by Sh Abdul Aziz al-Ahmed i think (who's one of the best Quran recitors i've heard, listen to his Surah Muhammad .)

Idha ma qaala lee Rabbee..., don't know the sha'ir (anyone know???), it's known as the poem that made Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal cry.

Ya 'Abid al-Haramayni... by Imam Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak . (recitor, anyone??)

In nalti ya reeh al-saba... again by Sayyiduna Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib .

Then there's obviously the Qasida al-Burdah, of Imam al-Busairi one of the best recitations is this one:

Mashaa Allah. I think the last one Qasidah Al Burdah was recited by the late Mushtaq Qadri (rahimahuAllah) in the video. Not sure about Yaa Abid Al Haram.

~~Main Toh Panjtan Ka Ghulam Hoon ( in Urdu )~~

    My All time Favourite Nasheed

Panjtan Pak is usually referred to the 5 Purified ones in light of this Sahi Hadith

Safiyyah the daughter of Shaybah narrates that Ayeshah (رضي الله عنها) said, “The Holy Prophet (SAW) came out one morning wearing a cloak which had camel saddles woven on to it with black wool. Then Hasan bin Ali (RA) came and the Holy Prophet (SAW) took him under the cloak, then Husain (RA) came and entered beneath it with the Holy Prophet (SAW). Then Fatimah (سلام اللہ علیھا) came and the Holy Prophet (SAW) took her under the cloak. Next Ali(كرم الله وجهه) came and the Holy Prophet (SAW) also included him beneath it. Then the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) recited the verse, ‘Allah only desires to keep away (all kinds of) impurity from you, O ‘people of the house!’ (the Prophet’s family) and to totally purify you,’ (al-Ahzab 33:33).”
