I had the opportunity of meeting him when I went to Pakistan. My ustad asked me take a parcel for him. He has so much nur on his face. May Allah presevrve him. Ameen

I think he is a Khalifa of Hazrat Abrarul Haq and a very close servant of Hazrat Abdul Ghani Phoolpuri , both who were Khalifa of Hazrat Thanvi.

females included? coincidently a sister told me about him just yesterday that after hakeem ul ummah Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi ra it is now Hakim Akhter sahib. i was feeling bad that i had never heard of him b4. but alhumdulillah 2day i got 2 hear him 2!

Hakim Akhtar sahb is one of the greatest sufis alive.i am currently reading a kitab by him tariqe wilaayat-the path towards wilayat.its really inspiring.i am murid of his khalifa Maulana Yunus Patel d.b so i listen alot about him alhamdulilah.once my shaikh mentioned that for a whole night hakim akhtar saheb told a khadim to read the sha'ar : jow tu karta hei chupke se ahle jahan se, jow tuje dekhta hei koyi asmaan se...someone can transl8 better than me inshallah.

As far as i remember, the shi'r was as such: Karta hay tu chup kr jo ehle jahan say..Koi daykhta hay tujhay asmaan say. Wallahu A'lam. Maybe, someone else can confirm...
