the nearest meaning to the hadith is that a Muslim should not break ties with another Muslim for more than three days.

It is not allowable for a man to keep apart from his brother for more than three days, the one turning away and the one turning away when they meet. The better of the two is the one who is first to give a greeting.
    (Bukhari, Muslim).

    thank you

i found this in sunnan abu dawood:

    Book 41, Number 4896:
    Narrated AbuHurayrah:

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: It is not allowable for a Muslim to keep apart from his brother for more than three days, for one who does so and dies will enter Hell.

    is it sahih?

    Yes, it is sahih.
The first half of it appears in virtually every hadith book, including bukhari and Muslim, while the second portion about entering the fire is recorded with a strong chain in Musnad Ahmed, Abu Dawud etc
Sahabah رضي الله عنهم would cling fast to the Sunnah, on account of it being Sunnah, while we discard the Sunnah, on account of it being (just) Sunnah!
