    Default Reliable Websites..?

    Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

I'd like to recommend some good, reliable websites to someone who's interested in becoming a Muslim; the kind of sites that help them to understand the basics and more advanced aspects of Islam etc. not a site leaning towards ghair muqallid or anything like that...deobandi preferably. any suggestions?

    JazakAllah in advance^

Do people think that they will be left (at ease) only on their saying, “We believe” and will not be put to any test?

    Some useful sites.

http://islambase.co.uk - Islambase Publications website for islamic resources.
Has lots of free resources for download. Has an excellent collection of lessons in audio/video/ebook form for learning and understanding the quran. Also has a collection of articles, software and ebooks on various topics.

http://www.internetmosque.net/ - Articles, audio, video etc in English
This has a good collection of articles and audio/video in English from many popular speakers. Also has some good islamic documetaries and movies for streaming view.
There is a complete english tafseer in mp3 available here for download, which I felt would also be useful for someone new to Islam. New muslims can request for a mentor to help them learn.

http://www.farhathashmi.com or www.alhudapk.com - Quran Education in Urdu and English
Dr. Farhat Hashmi is founder of Al-Huda Institute, Canada. The books and articles are in Urdu as well as English but the Audio Section, which I really liked, has a vast range of Urdu lectures, translation and indepth tafseer/interpretation. The urdu used is not very high level and supported with english where necessary. Both sites have pretty much the same stuff but the alhuda site has only real player files while her official site has some mp3 also. All files are for free download for dawah purpose.

Sister, you intentions may be noble but talking about these sites only makes them more popular.

I'm compiling a list of websites/other resources that I recommend to converts:

    http://rahma.hadithuna.com/converts

iprofess.com is the best site on the list, although it's down right now. Maybe the domain name expired. inshaAllah UmmZaid will renew it.

sunnipath.com offers reduced price courses for converts, and one at 75% off for non muslims. I have them linked above. That's what I wish I had had when I converted. Back in the day, there wasn't much out there aside from salafi introductory series. MashaAllah today, the situation is much better.
