    Default Miswak: how to keep one?

    Assalamualaikum

    What is the proper way to look after your miswak? Storage, using cling wrap? etc

    Also, over the past day or two I've found that people use their miswak for no longer than 1 to 2 weeks, so does that mean every single time you use it you have to cut a piece off?

    people may cut the head, and use again. one miswaak probabely be used for 1 month normally but cutting and giving new shape again.

    Walaikum Salaam

    Keep it in a storage (cling wrap could possibly do the job) that maintains the freshness of the miswaak. You could put the tip of the siwaak in water.

    As Salaamu Alaikum

    When you cut a piece off then the new piece has a fresher taste therefore when there is a feeling that the freshness is not there then cut off a piece.
