Sunday 13th March 2005 - History of Makkah & Medina
Dr Irfan Alawi will be giving a slide show on the history of Makkah and Medina.

Dr. Alawi is an expert historian on Makkah and Medina and is also a University Lecturer and Barrister at Law. He studied under Habib Ahmad Mashuhur Al-Haddad, may Allah be pleased with him. He will be taking us on a trip through these two Holy cities as pictures never seen before by the general public. Learn the secrets of Madina which are immense.

The event will be hosted by Shaykh Yazdani Reza (Misbahi)
and Brother Hassen Rasool will also be reciting the Glorious Quran.

These subjects will be taught by Shaykh Muhammad al Yazdani Misbahi Al Hanafi Al-Azhari All classes begin after Isha prayers.

Shaykh Yazdani is a Hanafi jurist and graduate of Jami'atul Ashrafia (India) where he studied Fiqh, Seerah, Usul al-Fiqh and Hadith. He has also studied at Al-Azhar University in Cairo and has an Masters in Islamic Studies from SOAS. He currently serves as Imam at the Brent Mosque and Islamic Centre as is also teaching Arabic at the Brondesbury School for Boys.
