ANSWERED: Wodhu with Fillings according to Hanafis

Was just wondering if anyone else would have information on this topic that they could share with me.

I have fillings in my teeth, which i have had since about the age of 13 (am 18 now), and the thing is that recently, I have realised that according to the hanafi school of thought, my wodhu is not valid as water does not reach under the fillings, this means that then my salah will not be valid either according to the hanafi school of thought. Was wondering then if it is permissible to follow another madhab, which would enable my wodhu and salah to be valid with fillings in. Cud anyone tell me, according to which madhabs will my wodhu be sahih then, i think that according to the shafi madhab it will be sahih but cannot remember which of the other two madhabs will also allow my wodhu to be sahih. If then I follow another madhab in wodhu, then i must also have to do salah according to that school of thought, so was wondering which madhab does the salah the same as the way in which it is done in the hanafi madhab.

No problem at all... I agree sometimes searching on some of the fatwa sites is a bit cumbersome. Ask-Imam and Shariah Board for example in my opinion really need to improve their search features and Sunnipath often returns too many hits. Khair, that's a different topic...

even though inventions such as fillings did not exist in the time of RasulAllah saw, the deen of Allah swt caters for all issues .
