    Default The secret

    Asalamu-alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu...

*whispers* wanna hear a secret... read on inshallah =)

    The Secret

One day, one friend asked another, "How is it that you are always so happy?

You have so much energy and you never seem to get down." With his eyes smiling, he said, "I know the Secret!" "What secret is that?" To which he replied, "I'll tell you all about it, but you have to promise to share
    the secret with others."

    "The secret is this:

I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy.

I must depend on Allah to make me happy and to meet my needs.

When a need arises in my life, I have to trust Allah to supply according to HIS riches.

I have learned most of the time I don't need half of what I think I do. He has never let me down.

Since I learned that 'Secret', I am happy."

The questioner's first thought was, "That's too simple!"

But upon reflecting over his own life he recalled how he thought a bigger house would make him happy, but it didn't! He thought a better paying job would make him happy, but it hadn't. When did he realize his greatest happiness? Sitting on the floor with his grandchildren, playing games, eating pizza or reading a story, a simple gift from Allah.. Now you know it too! We can't depend on people to make us happy. Only Allah in His infinite wisdom can do that. Trust HIM!

Very true, Imagine Allah has given us so much and we take it 4 granted. Everything we have is a blessing 4rm Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala.

There was an incident (il have 2 say it in my own words because i have heard the story and not read it. May Allah 4give me if i make any mistakes).

were a man was told that he should not waste any water, as it is a blessing 4rm Allah and if we misuse it then Allah will take it away. The man replied that theres no way Allah can take it away, we have so much technology in this day and age. If worse comes to worse wel dig until we get more water. He went home and went 2 sleep. Upon waking up he couldnt see anything. Allah took the water out of his eyes. So imagine this man was being so ungrateful 2 this blessing of Allah that Allah took the water of his eyes away and made him blind. This shows that Allah is capable of anything, so we should put our trust in Allah as is said in sister Raeesa's thread and We will be happy

    4 this, its really important

    This is how it goes:

Qul ara aytum inasbaha maaukum gowraa, Famayya' teekum bimaa immaeen

Say: Have ye thought: If (all) your water were dissapear into the earth, who then could bring u gushing water?

I believe this story is found in the tafseer of Hadhrat Shah Rafi' ud Deen Rahimahullah, it goes something like this:

An man heard someone read the last ayah of Surah Mulk and commented "We'll dig for it and bring it out". When he went to sleep, he dreamed that something hit him in the eyes and a voice said, "Now we take away the water of your eyes, dig for it and bring it back if you can". When the man woke up, he was blind.
