    Default Healing with fire

I am aware that RasulAllah Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam said that there is healing in fire, but I have forbidden my Ummat to use it.

I was wondering if any of the 'Ulema could explain this a little further. I've used cautery before for basic surgery. Although this is not fire, it is the burning of human tissue.

Does cautery come under the definition of the hadith, and is therefore prohibited?

(Cautery is also used by surgeons when they need to stop bleeding during surgery.)

    Asslamo Allaikum,

    Good question?

Here are the two Ahadeeth from Saheeh Bukhari which you are referring to with the commentary from Imam Ibnul Hajr Asqalani (RA):

Cauterisation has been used to promote Hemostasis for thousands of years and also used in Jihad
