Dar al-Arkam
1st - 9th April
Dar al Arkam - Deen Intensive - 1426AH/Spring 2005 Dar al-Arkam is a one
week residential course held annually. The focus of the course is
Islam, Iman and Ihsan. The course tries to stay firmly within the
bounds of the traditional Islamic educational model, and when possible
traditional texts are used as an adjunct to the oral teaching method.
Open to all Muslims over the age of 16, and there are no
educational prerequisites. The course is very accessible to people
starting out on the path of sacred knowledge. It also tries to
engender an atmosphere of remembrance, and provides a respite, albeit a
temporary one, from the bombardment of the modern world.
