Default Hizb ut tahrir-what do our scholars say??

I'm sure i've brought this issue up previously but what do our scholars say about this group. In my opinion they are very focussed nin making the ummah aware of how the west is oppressing Muslims worldwide. Yet i find a lot scepticism whenever i discuss them amongst certain individuals who state they are misguided. Yes i concede there is a lot of hate directed to the kufaar but i believe this is somewhat justified in light of the atrocities being commited against the ummah. please help me as one of my close friens in a HT activist and i can never really take him to task on HT and their flaws as i simply aren't aware of any. They are great reps' of the Muslims in the UK and always give a good showing in the media as regards the muslim viewpoint. Yet they are still much maligned despite the fact they attract a lot of youth to their talks. What exactly is wrong with them??

I have heard that HT holds beliefs that are contrary to the Ahlus Sunnah, such as there being no 'azab in the qabr. Can any brother confirm this?

invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. Pak is next yet HT are the only group who are raising group of the atrocities being committed. Why do people bring aqeeda in to the debate when HT essentially are a political movement and always quote from the quran and hadith.

They are not registered in the government and they do not have membership cards as far as i know so support them from affar. do not join directly cuz they may have "Khitab el Qasam".
I have been involved in many groups in lebanon and as advice it is better to stay away from them, just support their cause without going in direct contact with them.
These groups will bring you (and ur family) a big amount of headache so just stay away.

actually i would disagree that HT are the only group highlighting the atrocities. they may be the only mass movement in the UK which is not banned and is highlighting the atrocities, but there are many individuals, groups and people doing the same. even kuffar do it - e.g. amnesty international etc.

secondly, for any muslim polity, individual, group or entity to have 'tawfiq' from Allah, how can this be granted if the beliefs are incorrect? if a group of Shi'a who curse the Sahaba highlight the atrocities being afflicted on the Muslims, all being done under the pretence that they are a 'political group' not a madhab or sect, do we support them?

brother, Shaykh Taqi, Allah have mercy on him, without doubt deviated from Ahl al-Sunna on many issues of Aqida. furthermore, the party takes people away from the deen and immerses them in politics. how many qurra, fuqaha, mufassirin, ulama do you see from amongst them in the UK? none - because they don't see things as part of their method. building islamic institutions is not part of their method. what use is there calling for something like khilafah in a land 2000 miles from where you are? even Shaykh Taqi did no originally intend for the party to be active in non-muslim lands.

Ah, this group is very popular among some very extremist groups, and firmly believes in regaining the Khalifah so that Muslims can be victorious in this world and show the non-muslims the truth. In a certain way they are correct, but they are far to extreme, and probably one of the most extremist groups that condemn a lot of behaviour. It is popular in this country, U.K, and infact is banned in several countries. Shaykh Taqiuddin al-Nabhani was the orignal founder of this group, and was a Sunni Shaf'i, so I do believe that it does not contradict a lot of what our scholars say. Yet, it is a group that should not really be that active, as it is really far too extreme, and go to far with the thought of having a Khalifah. It is rampant in the west as well. My advice: just stay away from them, most of their beliefes now are devaited and they do not have a leader now. You do not want to mixing with a strong and unknown group. Allah Knows best!
