    UPDATE:

I received all three volumes in the mail today. Yes, the three volume set is the translation of the entire Urdu Lisanul Quran series.

Having just briefly perused the series, I can say that it looks to be EXCELLENTLY organized and APPEARS to touch on some concepts not covered in other very good series like "Arbi Ka Mu'allim". That's not to say that this series is necessarily better, but it can sure hold its own with anything else available in the english language.

As time wears on and I use the series more, I will report back with more updates.

    I am very excited.

What do these books cover exactly and into how much depth?

It would be difficult to list everything that it teaches short of typing out the entire table of contents. However, a short answer would be that it really does go into as at least as much depth as Arbi Ka Mu'allim insofar as Nahw is concerned. Regarding Sarf, it certainly goes into as much depth but it presents the information in a way that I believe is MUCH BETTER than Arbi Ka Mu'allim. In my opinion, one of the shortcomings of Arbi Ka Mu'allim is how (and when) it presents Sarf; Lisanul Quran is better in this regard.

Another advantage of Lisanul Quran is that it has an answer key for the exercises of each of its three volumes (something that Arbi Ka Mu'allaim does not have).

It should also be noted that in the introduction to part I mention is made of the fact that Lisanul Quran has modeled itself (largely) on an-Nahw ul-Wadih, which is probably among the more widespread and used modern textbooks for teaching Nahw in the Muslim world (both in Arab and non-Arab countries, even being used in many a traditional madrassah or Darul uloom). As such, I think this is also a testament to the potential benefit one might get from the text.

All this is not necessarily to say that one series is better than the other but that Lisanul Quran is probably every bit as good Arbi Ka Mu'allaim, which receives a lot more fanfare on this forum and elsewhere, even if Lisanul Quran teaches and presents the information in a different way.

I hope that that helped insha'allah.

Does anyone know where I can download the key from? Or purchase from UK...

Jz, but as mentioned in my post I am from the UK. The above website appears to be from another country and will take a long time and charge a lot for delivery to UK...

I've tried every uk store now for answers apparently none of them have had it in stock for months now.

The only place selling them is albalagh and their delivery charges (and times) are almost ten times the price of the books themselves, I cant afford it anyway.

Does anyone know where I can access the answers for the English versions of Lisan ul Quran, online, pdf etc?

    Respected brother,

I wouldn't worry too much about getting the set if it is going to cost you that much. Instead, go through Arbi Ka Mu'allim, try to do the exercises, get help in checking the answers here on this forum or elsewhere, and that should be sufficient.

I need a good book with answers to practise my sarf, that is the primary reason I need the answers. I already have volume one and two question books and I really like the way the explanations are set out and also the fact that there are lots of questions. For obvious reasons I personally would find it too impractical to depend on online help every time I attempt some questions/exercises.

Also arabic tutor doesn't have answers either I think?

I think I might just pay the big delivery charge for key to volume 2 as that seems to have most sarf in it, there's only a little bit in volume one.

Brother - what is in volume 3? Is there any sarf in there?
