Deobandi and Barelwi question.

I'm am new to Islam but I noticed on this forum that there is some "fight" if you can called it that between some who are Deobandis and some who are Barelwi.

I have not heard about this until I signed up on this forum and I have tried to find some info on this and what I understand is that, both groups are Sunnis ? Both groups where founded in Pakistan? Barelwis are sufis and Deobandis are not?
Is this correct ?

So my real question is, are the majority of the Sunni muslims deobandis or barelwis or are the majority sunni muslims none of them ? I could not find any info on this.

this is name of 2 place called deoband and bareli. the names come from supporting the undrstand of scholar who are located in this place.

one is close another one is far.

the places exist in india. Both are sufis but barelwis are lenient, and deobandis are more strict.

Muslim has nothing to do with the place or scholars.

akhy you shouldn't be bothered by the group names etc. anything appears suspicious to you, ask the ruling and you'll see where the problem is.
