Break in after salat dhikr

Salaam, sometimes while making after salat dhikr like 33x subhanAllah's 33x Alhamdulillah's and 34x Allahu Akbar, people interrupt me by talking. If this occurs, can I simply continue from where I left off, or do I need to repeat the dhikrs from the beginning in order to get the reward?

Does saying for example 43x Alhamdulillah deprive one of the reward, as it is more than the 33x we are supposed to say? Or is this something extra and won't detract.

you might not get the reward of the sunnah of doing the exact numbers, but logically i cannot see how doing more dhikr deprives someone of rewards.
