you need to buy ACTIVE MANUKA 5+, 10+ or 12+ which is the strongest.

As I said it is the one of the strongest Honey scientifically proven, the rest of honey research is "Brother said, My Grand-Mother said, my Shaykh Said"

The Honey Muslims sell is not subject to any quality control mechanisms and not scientifically tested etc.

The efficacy of honey is undisputed but the Qur'aan doesn't recommend ANY SPECIAL kind of Honey at all.
Sorry Muadh, my point was that the true benefits of honey will be found when the honey is actually pure and not heavy manufactured and all sorts of enumbers etc have been added.

This is just me but say Gales honey im sure is far from pure and has all sorts of added stuff to it. now compare that to manuka honey which from the sites seems sompletely free from any sort of added ingredients.

    W-Salam,

Since you live in the Mid-lands there are plenty of farms where you can fetch honey straight from the Honey-Combs (nothing added), google it.

    Tons of places around e.g

    http://store.foodcommerce.co.uk/ford...eb4204c0da5e9/

If you want to take the Commercial route...

Manuka & Gale also do pure variety where there is nothing or minimal stuff added.

    Default Fresh Fresh Honey!

    Asslamo Allaikum Br Enigma,

Just spoke to a farmer-girl and she said...

If you want Fresh Fresh then Honey has a season (Spring/Summer) when the Flowers bloom etc.

Right now the Honey you buy from the Farm will be stored when it was taken from the hives...It won't have anything added but it won't be Fresh Fresh...

Wherever you are in UK, chances are you can get Honey from the Farms

    http://www.manukahoney.co.uk/

i order mine from these guys, they are good, they have all the ranges and are very well priced. cheapest from what iv seen.

Engima - the problem is not necessarily additives, but rather the fact that some honeys are designed for taste, other honeys are mass produced, others are not so good based on the surroundings of the farms or climate.

manuka is scientifically proven to be the best. i think its the only honey in the world which goes through scientific grading from labs. i did some research on the subject when i came across that bbc article and then having come across tib nabwi by imam ibn qayyim jawziyah r.a and found manuka is closest proven honey to the hadith benefits related from our prophet. All/most of the hadith benefits have been proven from manuka.

i thought all honey was produced by bees only?

    sort of yes

you need to go on the site and look at the white papers, scientific papers etc for each test they carry out, then look at the book and what benefits it shows for honey. ibn al qayyims book is mostly all hadith related. compare the two. to the best of my knowledge the Prophet SAW used to take honey with cold water, one of the white papers advises against heating honey (or at least this one) as it reduces its potency. Thats just one, there is some hints that using honey in eye infections works in the white papers, and the book also claims the same. There are plenty of good and decent examples. you just need the time and patience to look.

p.s no offense intended. I am on my 6th tub i think, i even sent a tub to a very prominent sheikh of hadith living in india when he came for hajj, i wouldnt send him something which i didnt believe would benefit him.

Sidr honey maybe not mentioned in Quran, but Sidhratul Muntaha is...
"[O God! If your mercy is confined to the obedient servants, who will have mercy on those fallen into sin."

    Asslamo Allaikum Dear Respected Brother,

You have taken the verses of the Qur'aan about Honey from Surah Nahl (which describes Honey on Earth)

    And then

Mixed it with the verses of the Qur'aan about Sidratul-Muntaha tree in Jannah from Surah Waqiyah when the co-relationship has NEVER been established by any Scholar in Islam and also there is no logical co-relationship as I can equally set the relationship to any other tree mentioned in the Qur'aan (what about Olive Tree???or Fig tree???)

That's all my point is & I hope that you understand that.

Honey has Shifa in it and there is no doubt about it.

    Jazakullah Khairun

P.S: Its like people selling a Honey & Black Seed paste both are separately mentioned but NO EVIDENCE that the Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassaallam) took it together and there is no Book of Medicine which tells people to take it together like a paste although scholars and Doctors were aware of their efficacy separately!

    Salaam Brothers and Sisters.

Firstly i think the brother is offering all of us an opportunity to buy some honey (in this case its Sidr) secondly its true that Sidr honey is not specifically mentioned in the Qur'an but the Sidr tree is mentioned (this is not to say that we can make connections).

I think its a question of preference, do we want honey from our normal Gales or Manuka or do we want honey from a tree thats mentioned in the Qur'an.

My advice to everyone is simple, to find out more about Sidr do an online search, secondly try the product and see for yourself. i have used Manuka for a very long time but now i only have Sidr honey ( it is very difficult to get hold of Sidr honey, not all shops have it).

Honey in general has very good qualities but its Allah who gives shifa and none other.
