Default Matns (Texts) Memorized in Syria?

    As salaamu alaykum.

Does anyone know which texts are generally memorized by students in Syria studying Hanafi fiqh and usul ul Fiqh?

I am almost 100% sure that Mukhtasar Quduri is memorized, but I do not know which other texts, if any, are memorized. Does anyone here know? If so, please share that info with myself and others on this board.

    Jazakallahu Khair.

    Wa'salaam.

    Salaam

Just wondering whether or not Nur ul Idah can be found in a language other than Arabic. Basically is there an English translation of this text?

If a person wants to measure his nearness to Allah, he should apply the following formula given by Shaykh Gangohi:

“A person’s nearness to Allah is proportional to his distance from his own ego and self [nafs].”

I'm not sure how many chapters exactly, but it Starts from Tahara and goes through Salah , Zakat, Sawm and Hajj. Also has Ahkam al-Janaa'iz.

It has a lot of Sub-chapters (hope thats what they are called.)

The Pakistani (Qadeemi Kutub Khana) print has 196 pages though the first 20 contains introductions etc. The pages are not that big though as the text has the commentary surrounding it.
