Reviving the Prophetic Sunnah of Hijamah / Hijama (Cupping) in the UK

salaamz...i hav recently heard about this process of curing diseases...i am originally frm pakistan and know of a doctor who perform hijama. but i do want a second opinion if possible. is thr a seperate email where i can contact u or discuss my medical history. in short id been diagnosed with endometreosis 4 years back and since then neither treatments have worked infact some kind of medical problem or the other is always thr. i have given up on medications as not a single medicine has done me any good. infact dur to lucrin/lupron tht i took for 9 months my vitamin D level is severly low. i wud b grateful for ur reply

I know a few people who have had cupping done. My father had it done for his back pain and my brother for skin irritation. Since having it done, my father hasn't felt any improvement, but my brother is now able to eat food which he wasn't allowed to before. i think it all depends on how many treatments you have and after care too. And most importantly whether your body is susceptible to treatments, as with any medicine.

I definitely think that it is worth a try. Just doing it for the sake of fulfilling a Sunnah of the Beloved Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam should be enough of a reason for one to want to do it.
