From many Qur'anic Ayahs and Prophetic Ahadith we can derive that the company someone keeps is very important and is a big influence for the person. There are as well abundant tales with this moral.
When a good person stays in the company of bad people, there exists the thread that his enviroment one day will over-power him and he as well will turn sinful. The same way, a bad person who stays in the company of good people, theres the hope that this enviroment one day will over-power him and he as well will turn pious.
So, could interacting with other SF users be regarded as staying in good company? How much (good) influence can it have on a person's life? Or is the influence/benefit even maybe unlimited? How much have you progressed in real life, since you signed up on SF? Does staying on SF help you stay away from sins?
I know for myself that I learnt many things on SF, that maybe I would not know now without SF. I think as well my general understanding of Deen has delevoped a lot through SF besides many other websites. Hence SF has a share in my progress (although I'm still not very far from the starting point).
If you share my sentiments then give a reply. If this post leaves you cold then still give a reply.![]()

with so many ulema and knowledgeable brothers on this forum. Specially when I learned to ignore the never ending Aqidah threads
