Condemnation of Terrorist Attack on Sri-Lankan Cricket Team!

In an incident which could have turned many fears to reality, the convoy of Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked by unidentified gunmen at Gaddafi stadium in Lahore. At least 12 gunmen have been reported to be involved in the attack.

Seven players of the Sri Lankan cricket team have been injured. Five policemen who were trying to shield the van carrying the cricketers have been killed in the encounter.

Four of the cricket players are seriously injured - Thilan Samaraweera, Kumar Sangakara, Ajanta Mendis and Tharanga Paranavithana.

The gunfire is reported to have continued for 25 minutes. Two bombs were also thrown at the convoy.

The police surrounded the van carrying the cricketers. The gunmen had heavy ammunition including rocket launchers also.

I just heard what happened in Pakistan with the attack on the Sri-Lankan Cricket team. I have been to Sri-Lanka and they are some of nicest people on Earth, moreover Sri-Lankan decided to visit Pakistan and play Cricket when the rest of the world had shunned Pakistan.

I personally utterly condemn this cowardly attack on innocent Civilians when Sri-Lankans in general and Sri-Lankan cricketers in particular have nothing to do internal and external challenges facing Pakistan.

I hope and pray that the injured Sri-Lankans would return back to full and optimal health and I look forward to watching Ajantha Mendis& others in action again.
I hope that no one would somehow try to link this incident to Israeli aggression on Gaza because this barbaric act (perpetrated by whoever) has nothing to do with Islam…

This is a plain and simple targeted and coordinated attack on innocent civilians and cannot be justified by any actions by the Non-Muslims (or the Zionists) on Israelis, Kashmirees or Afghanees or whoever!

Sri-Lankans have maintained ties with Pakistan through thick and thin, provided us with Reconnaissance on Indian Army and done much more….They did us a favour by sending their Cricket team and this is a disaster of epic proportion.

If this was planned and coordinated by Muslims it is an UTTERLY STUPID IDEA! It will erode the sympathy of general people and damage the image of Muslims for decades to come, worldwide.

If this was planned and coordinated by Non-Muslims it is an ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT IDEA and will work wonders in turning the Pakistani people away from Islam & Muslims and give further justification to US & Nato to invade Pakistan.

Whoever has done this should be brought to justice and punished with the full weight of the law.

Anyway why sri lanka? bro its a joke. Let me give an example what happend in my local area yesterday. Some local muslims robbed a local chicken shop owned by muslims(HMC). The guys were so thick that they live like 30 seconds away. Bro come on what kind of stupid thinking is this? I thought criminals were a bit smarter.

Pakistan is riddled with suicide terrorists and extremists and this is due to crazy outlandish interpretation of Islam and tribalisms.
