Systems Of Quran Memorization

I noticed that there was mention made of various systems of Quranic memorization done in Egypt, India, Malaysia, Turkey, Mauritania, etc.

Can someone provide more details into how this is done? A short description of each system would be marvelous. I would really like to know the various ways of memorizing the Quran.
