I just found this nice book of Imam Jalaluddin Suyuti rahmatullah alaih on Mawlid.

Husn al-Maqsad Fi Amal al-Mawlid (حسن المقصد فی اعمل المولد)

There is a pdf of original Arabic work, and a short translation in English.
