The Fatwas of Mufti M ibn Adam regarding Mawlid, Asking from other than Allah, Tawassul, saying Ya Rasulallah and others seem to indicate that he is not in accordance with the mainstrem Deobandi School.

Imam al-Zarqani said in his book Manahil al-Irfan: 'Our Scholars agreed that if a word carries 99 aspects of disbelief and one aspect of faith, it must be interpreted according to the best of meanings, which is faith'.

Cant remeber, but I did read someoine saying this. Plus, one local deobanidi scholar said this to my brother. I wont mention his name, but it made me think that others may also have the same opinion.
Dont you think his Fatwas are a bit comprimising?

Mufti Muhammad is kool.![]()
The Imam of our Mosque, is a CLASS MATE OF MUFTI EBRAHIM DESAI. We've only had him for the last year, and this is what happened.
He DID celebrate the Mawld, but not only on 12th RabiulAwwal. He made a program so as to spread it out over 3 weeks. He even invited scholars from other cities.
In the first week, we had Seerah, naats, and Qasidas.
In the second week, which was ON 12th RabbiulAwwal, we had MORE naats, qasidas, and a speech on the greatness of the Prophet(SAW).
In the third week, we had a speech on the importance of following the Sunnah, naats and Qasidas.
The Deobandis are against the practise of specifying ONLY 12th RabbiUlAwwal for the Prophet(SAW), they always try to spread it out over weeks.

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullah,
I think Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam concentrates on trying to minimize the apparent differences between the Barelwi school and the Deobandi school. I would say that most of what he says (from what I've read of his articles and heard in his bayans) is in accordance to the 'Deobandi' Shuyukh.Originally Posted by Abdul
