From what i´ve heard this was a school where you didn´t have to know urdu?

no, the main language of instruction from about the thrid year onwards is Urdu, the first 2 years you can get by with minimal knowledge of the language, but after that it's a must.

Shaykh Riyadh's place in Leicester would probly be a better option.
