I just stumbled across this video on YouTube and thought I'd share it here cos this thread is like an information thread on Blackburn Darul Uloom ('Jamiatul-Ilm-Wal-Huda').

Nwayz, here're some stuff from Jamiatul-Ilm Wal-Huda students
Amazing Qur'an recitation:

And here's another student doing qira'ah as according to a different riwayah (dunno which one):

'White flight' (not fright, as the vid says), a speech by a student. This was given in the Jalsah (graduation ceremony) of a couple of years ago:

And a nasheed by the world-renowned Urdu nasheed artist, Ahsan Ameen (also a student there):

What year are you in if you don't mind me asking?

when does the year begin at this madrassa?
i heard that mature/older students get their own room. can anybody confirm?
what are the fees?
what is blackburn like to live?
anyone on this forum study there or know anyone who is/has studied there?
wassalaam.

brother faisal. The 2 darulooms I can recommend are...maulana saleem dhorat's one in leicester. A new one opened by mufti inayatullah saab db.

the reason i am interested in blackburn is because it blessed with so many senior ulama.
apart from maulana saleem dhorat saheb, who are the senior ulama at his madrassa?

Salam brother, it is called miftaahul uloom and it is based in blackburn. Its for over 16s
