    Salamu Alaikum

Without a doubt Shaikh Abd Al Fatah Al Ghudda is tops - a scholar in all fields, admired by all. People have Ijazahs from him or going through him from India to America. A worldwide sensation.

i dont know that much about him but i respect him alot....he's only about 33 and he is a gifted speaker in FOUR languages!
    english
    urdu
    arabic
    and gujerati!

plus he learns and teaches ahadith....he has ijazahs for this....he also is a shaykh of tasawuff and he has ijazahs in all 4 main turuq i heard....he's spoken around the world and i think he's got about 400+ bayans on tape now...he has alot of fikr/concern for the ummah especially masjidul aqsa and he has advised MANY ppl down the years with personal and deeni problems....and he's modest on top of all of this mashallah

AND he comes from a family of ulama!

i love the guy for the sake of Allah!

i dont really believe in RANKING ulama against each other but i just thought id write that bit about Shk Riyadh cos im excited! im going to his bayan this w/end inshallah!

    So agree...Masha'allah beautiful inspirational lectures...

All the scholars I've seen so far would be repeated by me...

There are so many scholars...each of them have their unique way of speaking...everyone will prefer their hearts to one person...for a variety of reasons...he could be their shaykh...his lectures may have inspired them to change...could have taught them...we could be impressed by their qualifications and/or Akhlaaq...

    Hmm...

Must say...has anyone mentioned Mufti Saeed Ahmed Khan, Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmed adn Shaykh Husain Abdul Sattar...very good scholars...

my input in this would be that a lot of scholars that would be considered high ranking are in madrassas and in places you'd never hear of. obscure. but they exist.
All the scholars that are famous and you here of are nothing compared to the highest ranking spirituals and scholars of this Ummah whom if they walked down the street with you - you would not even know who they were.

The unknown scholars to the masses are the best of scholars and very humble people.

Even after the long winded explanations that I have given clarifying what it is that I am asking for, I don't think that anyone has understood my question.

I give up and would not mind it if this thread were locked now.

Brother i understand what you are saying you want to put scholars into ranking system according to there special fields for example you will have scholars like Moulana Tariq Jameel,Shaykh Hamza yusaf in the dai rank and Mufti taqi Uthmani in the faqih rank right?
what you want do is a special ranking system like
    Muhaddith Rank
    1)Shaykh Zakariya(rah) etc
I am correct is this is what you want us to do right?
