Any true Sufi Shaykh in Istanbul & Muslim life in Turkey?

Assalamu 'Alaikum.

After several weeks I want to visit Istanbul and other famous Turkish
cities. I would also like to meet some Sufi shakhs there. However, I want to avoid fake Sufi groups. Does anyone know genuine Sufi shaykhs in Turkey , particularly in Istanbul ?

Ensure you meet Shaykh Mahmud Efendi in the Fatih Area and Sh. Muhammad Amin Siraj at the Fatih Masjid.

I fully agree with Mufti Husain. You can also see clips of Shaykh Mahmut Efendi in youtube.com to get a idea of how he looks like to remember when you're there .

By the way mufti husain why do the mureeds wear trousers below the ankles.... Is this the case with shaykh mahmud as well? But yes i met them and they left a great impression on me. They kissed my hand when they found out i was from india and said have u been to sirhind... lol. if only they knew how much of a sinner i am...

There are dozens of hotels nearby, but I cannot recommend any, as I stayed with a friend, not at a hotel.

The hotel I am gonna be at is the Sapphire; it seems pretty good from their website (good location, free breakfast, very swanky rooms) and it's not too expensive--pricier than I would have liked, but still, not that bad.

BTW The Sapphire is in Istanbul...I don't that came across enough in my original post

How many days do you want to stay in Turkey ? If you like to meet genuine Turkish sufi people , I would recommend you to go to Menzil in Adiyaman where you can meet a good Sufi Shaykh of Nakhsbandi order.
