There is lots of mureeds in germany the biggest gathering place is at Dortmund very close to römerstrasse rauxel but i dont know the exactly house number the gathering place its called for example Tekke/Mesjid/Dergah in turkish just ask some turkish guys

Yesterday I met some guys who follow Nakhsbandi-Menzil tariqah in my city. I asked them about the biography of their shaykh. They told me that there is one book . but it is written in Turkish.

I think, before giving bayat to any shaykh , I need to know about him and his spiritual mentor. Do you have any English book about them ?

    Wa alaikum salam;

I'm owner of the blog, Menzil, written before. Our shakh's name is Sayyid Abdulbaqi (qs), he lives in Adiyaman, Turkey; but u can also reach his followers everywhere. Most probably he will be in Istanbul after June. However, if u want it's doable to go to Adiyaman from Istanbul via plane.

To see his spiritual lineage please click this address:

    To see where he lives..:

When u need assistance in this matter, please leave a note in my blog with ur contact information..

When I met the Naksbandi-Menzil followers in my city, I told them that I want to participate in their group spiritual exercise. They replied that only the initiated ones are allowed to participate. Its quite surprising. If I do not see what kind of spiritual exercise they do ,how can I be interested in this tariqah. Simply buying a book and reading about tariqah is not enough !!!!!!!

How is Turkey these days with all the secular onslaught that its seen over the last 6-70 years?

Mufti Hussain, did you dress in the thawb when you went there?

I'd love to go with my wife who wears the niqab. Is it a problem at the airports with me having a beard and wife in niqab?

How religeous is Turkey these days, apart from the touristy areas?

Is it common to see men in biggish beards, women in hijab, abayah etc?

Is food an issue with halal in all shops or are there specific shops one should eat from?

Ive been to turkey before but went to the touristy areas and trust me, i was shocked!!!

It really threw me the conditions of the Muslims, made me feel sad. Especially the whole alcohol and it being drunk openly.

To anyone from Turkey. what is the price of an average house in the areas where these shuyukh live? or average price of a property in a religeous area? just provide me with the turkish amount and i'll convert it.

In my humble opinion Turkey resisted 60-70 years of fierceful secular onslaught FAR BETTER than how many arab countries resisted a few years of secularism.

Some contributions of mine about my loved Turkey ;-)

I went about two years ago and didn't have any problems with beard and thawb.

In the posts i linked is depicted the easiness with which u can find full-bearded TURKISH men and niqabi TURKISH women in certain zones of Istanbul itself.

And God knows best, and may He SwT raise our Ummah's Iman.

So,according to you,its no issue with the niqab on the airport?

what areas are there where beards/thawbs/niqabs are common??

I don't know but I've seen some niqabis (mainly middle-eastern) at the airport. No idea about identification.

Go in the Fatih (and carcshmba) quarters and you'll feel as you are in Madina, as Mufti Husain Sahab told here in SF.

And don't forget carrying something as present for your brothers of Sunniforum ;-)

Hmmm. I wrote the book upon your request. I noticed in private email that tasawuf is not a book learned science, it is only an experimental wisdom..

But somebody doesn't get tasawufi experience being in a spiritual exercise. The moral exercises are blank shapes without heartfelt initiating. Coz of this Hz. Rasul (saw) said: "Innamal a'malu binniyah".. means act is assessed with intent.

In Naqshbandi tariqa we have only one collective spiritual exercise called Khatm i Khajagan. In this religious exercise the purpose is gaining fayz (prosperity) from our Shaikh and his spiritual mentors, and certainly from Hz. Rasul (saw). Fayz is forwarded from heart to heart, is between connected hearts.. Murid means the person who connects his heart to his Shaikh's heart.. Initiating is connecting hearts.

Not being a murid, how does somebody experience this situation without a connected heart?

Also it can be asked shall we know what to exercise in a tariqa..?

Maybe, but first we know what is tariqa, why is tariqa.. For spiritual exercises? Not surely!..

    dear bro,

u may have problem with niqab in airport security control. however u can request cabin controll for ur wife. i did it for my hijab, this is our right according to rules of the security firm.

beard is common everywhere but niqab isn't. ur wife can use sure! although we don't use it in Turkey, many muslim tourists with niqab come to our country.. and i don't know what is the meaning of thawb?
