Default Virtues of reading Surah Yaseen?

What, according to scholars of all schools, does it mean when we read, at the start of the day. So for Surah Yaseen, one virtue is that it will help in our daily work if one prays it at the start of the day.

now what I ant to know that does the day start at dawn(when fajr time begins), or does it mean after sunrise?

There are other duas too which people are told to recite morning and evening. now evening is generally accepted as after maghrib, but the morning bit has always confused me.

I would especially like to know when various companions used to recite Surah Yaseen as that would be very good proof of what they deemed morning in the lifetime of the Prophet

Many of the 'evening' athkaar are to be said between 'Asr and Maghrib and not after Maghrib.

Is it true that if one recites Ya Seen every evening before sleeping that one will die as shaheed?

    Please confirm.

    Salaam,

In sub-continent, there is a prevalent idea that if an imminent death is approaching to someone, relatives start reciting Surah Yaseen. I heard that people think if someone recite it at that time, the being-departed soul feels at ease at the time of death. It really seems very strange because if one goes through the meaning of whole Sura, it deals in different subjects. Anhow, any source from where people have taken it, will be appreciated!! thanks.

    Answer

    Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullah

    Brother/Sister in Islam

Rasulullah (SAW) advised us to recite Sura Yaseen in the beginning of the day. Dhur is already the middle of the day. After sunrise is considered as the beginning of the day.

    Answer

Sayyiduna Ma'aqal ibn Yassaar (Radhiallaahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'Yaaseen is the heart of the Qur'aan. nobody who intends the Aakhirat shall recite it except that Allah will forgive him. Recite it upon your deceased.' (Sunan Abu Dawud) Imaam Haakim has classified this tradition as Saheeh (authentic); Mustadrak al-Haakim vol.1 pg.565 - see al-Targheeb vol.2 pg.376 Imaam Ahmad has narrated in his Musnad with his sanad from Safwaan that he said, 'The scholars use to say that when it is recited by the deceased, Allah creates ease for him/her.' (See Tafseer ibn Kathir vol.3 pg.571) Sayyiduna Jund ibn Abdullah (Radhiallaahu Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'Whoever recites Surah Yaaseen at night seeking the pleasure of Allah, His sins will be forgiven.' (Muwatta Imaam Maalik). Imaam ibn Hibbaan has classified it as Saheeh - Saheeh ibn vol.6 pg.312 (see al-Targheeb vol.2 pg.377) A similar narration reported by Sayyiduna Abu Hurayra (Radhiallaahu Anhu) has been recorded Imaam Abu Ya'ala in his Musnad and Hafiz ibn Kathir has classified its chain of narrators as good. (Tafseer ibn Kathir vol.3 pg.570) Based on this narration, Allamah Munaawi (RA) has analysed that whoever will recite Surah Yaaseen during the morning, will also be forgiven, Insha Allah. (See Faydhul Qadeer vol.6 pg.259) Sayyiduna ibn Abbaas (Radhiallaahu Anhu) says, 'Whoever recites Yaaseen in the morning, his work for that entire day will be made easy and whoever recites in at the end of the day, his tasks till the next morning will be made easy.' (Sunan Daarimi vol.2 pg.549) A similar narration has also been recorded by Imaam Daarimi from Attaa ibn Abi Rabah. and Allah Ta'ala Knows Best Moulana Muhammad ibn Moulana Haroon Abbassommar FACULTY OF SPECIALTY IN HADITH CHECKED AND APPROVED: Mufti Ebrahim Desai

    Thanks Sister.

    a)
Recite it upon your deceased.' (Sunan Abu Dawud) Imaam Haakim has classified this tradition as Saheeh (authentic)
    b)
that he said, 'The scholars use to say that when it is recited by the
    deceased,
Allah creates ease for him/her.' (See Tafseer ibn Kathir vol.3 pg.571)
Mine question was, that when a person is in comma, does this Sura facilitates his/her soul to depart easily. Reciting it for the "deceased" is another matter.

    Anyhow thanks again for reply.

Akhi, The question was/is very simple. People in sub-continent start reading Surah Yaseen near someone who is at the verge of death, i mean in comma. People's view is that recitation of Surah will facilitate the departure of soul from the person.

Your second part of post, I more than 100 percent agree. Quran is more helpful for people who are alive. No argument against this.

What i meant by my post is, Quran may effect person soul in both case. It may cure him or it may make easy to take off his soul by angels. in summary If surah yasin can give profit to death person soul, it may cure alive person soul, or help alive person soul to take off by angel.
