Default What to say after each prayer

on several articles, i have read that after each prayer, it is best to say SubhanAllah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times and Allahu Akbar 34 times whereas on other articles it says to say Allahu Akbar 33 times. Which is true?

Also, Is it ok to do this after sunnah prayers as well as fardh prayers?

    Thanks

Saying subhanAllah, Al Hamdulillah and Allahu Akbar 33 times then saying "laa ilaaha illallahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadeer" is what is confirmed to say after the prayers. You may read the adhkaar after fardh or after the sunnan prayers.

to say SubhanAllah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times and Allahu Akbar 34 times is known as the tasbih faatimi. It is recited before sleeping, not after prayers.

    Assalaamualaikum

I was listening to Hazratjee Hadrat Maulana Hafiz Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi Mujaddidi (damat barakatuhu) lecture on Istaghfar and Taubah a couple of days ago, where among many details, he mentions that Allah loves when the banda does istaghfar after every good deed performed. The reason explained is that performing a good deed could bring in us "khud pasandgee" = liking of self and doing istaghfar immediately saves us from that.

    1. Similarly, after every salat it is sunnah to seek istaghfar. Immediately after completion of any salat - sunnat, fard or nafl - salat say once "Allah-u-Akbar and then thrice Astaghfirullah.

    2. The other recommended tasbeeh after salat are after every fard salat - say Ayat-ul-kursi once (some places have said thrice, i read once),

    3. Also after every fard salat say the tasbeeh fatima.

    4. Apart from these, it is recommended to recite after fajr and maghrib salah this tasbeeh - 10 times - "Laa ilaha illallah wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu yuhi wa yumeetu wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir"

    And Allah knows best.

    hope this helps.
    wassalaam

I thought it was after Sunnah that dua or tasbeeh should be commenced - According to Hanafi madhab.

    Assalaamualaikum,

Alhumdulillah I have reconfirmed and the tasbeeh has recommended recitation after fard salah altho those who wish to can recite after sunnah salah as well.

Quoting a hadith on the same for virtues of the tasbeeh - Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, ?Whoever reads this Tasbeeh after Fardh Salaat, Allah will forgive all his minor sins even though they amount to the foam of the ocean."

    And Allah (swt) knows best

    wassalaam

    @ yas245 and Wisdom4TheSeeker:

Hadhrat Mufti Husain sahib (DB) once mentioned that when it is said "after Salah" or "after Fard Salah" it refers to after sunnah prayers.

The fuqaha advise that there shouldn't be a long period between fard and sunnah.
