my grandmother has passed - request for du'as
as-salamu `alaikum
inna lillah wa inna ilayhi rajioon
after a long battle with illness my beloved grandmother passed away at home with her family at her side.
i would be grateful if the shuyukh and students of knowledge and all of you could please make du'a for her forgiveness and recite al-fatiha or some other portion of the qur'an for her benefit. kindly also make du'a that Allah make it easy for her children and family during this difficult period.

It is reported from Abu Umamah from the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alayhi WaSallam) that he said:
اتَّقُوا فِرَاسَةَ الْمُؤْمِنِ ، فَإِنَّهُ يَنْظُرُ بِنُورِ اللَّهِ

may Allah grant your grandmother and all those muslims who passed away before her and those who will pass away after her, his mercy and forgiveness and may they all be granted peace and happiness in the grave and on the day of reckoning and easy passage into jannah.
may Allah grant sabr and take away the sorrow of those loved ones who your grandmother has left behind and make it easy for you and your family.
