Even it isn't, Its a wellcome change from a lot of minority Rubbish that Islam Channel pumps out in the name of Islam and Hamd and nasheed singing Noor TV that connect connect to people let alone provide any Useful relegious discourse. It is not about being deobandi (whatever that suppose to mean), salafi, Berlewi. What matters is holding on the usul of deen and spread the information in a sensitive and mature manner. I know Sidi Abu Aleya refusing to do q&A program as he feels he is not a faqih knowing his knowldge of fiqh is much better then some of the so called Alim. I leave you to guess who these people are

My oppinion is that majority of those muslims who do not keep a tv in the house due to fitnah etc, they do have access to the Internet and they watch free programmes online like Islam channel,Peace tv,Al-Huda tv,Noor tv etc so every effort should be made to broadcast Iqraa tv online so that the true message of Islam reaches the masses.

Thank you for your post.

All channels do their best to broadcast the message of Islam and to reache the masses. Everyone has a choice & everyone can watch something to do with Islam & dean if they wish to do so. Alhamdulillah

I watch as many channels as possible when I get time but it is not fair to say some are rubbish as there are some good programs on all & some not so good.

Iqra is one of the great ones & watch out for 7 8 9 !!

I like Imam Qasim, I am a deobandi myself, but ......

I am surprised that even though Iqra channel claims to be an islamic channel they (Imam Qasim & other Ulama in the team) allow music on their channel even though there are alternatives available now to replace music from nasheeds & sounds that do not resemble music, Halal Dawah Record videos on youtube are a good example of that.

My suggestion to Iqra Tv management is that they should promote their channel as a pure islamic channel with strict islamic rulings followed so that people build a respect for the channel, otherwise it will just be an addition into desi/english channels on sky.

They should follow the example of Daily Islam newspaper of pakistan who claimed to be islamic and they consider picture haraam hence never used a picture of living being in their newspaper, still a very successful newspaper, people respect them for that as they did what they claim.

Secondly, they should put more and more lecture videos of ulama e karaam on different topics atleast 2-3 times a day, not necessarily live, like Imam Zahir Mehmood, Imam Ahmad Ali, Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam al Kawthari, Shaykh Hasan Ali, Sheikh Mumtaz Ul Haq, Mufti Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf etc.

I have seen an Aalim giving lecture at 9am on this channel in urdu, Mashallah beautiful and informative lectures from him, I suggest he should carry on.

Since everyone know that Iqra is an Islamic channel, it is run by Ulama, these ulama are deobandi, people have expectations and thirst of a pure islamic channel and hence Iqra management has that chance of fulfilling that gap since Allah has given them the first chance in the electronic world, otherwise people would be very disappointed and think the same of this channel as other biddati channels.

Hope my scribbles make some sense
