    Default what should i do?

Asalamo alaikum, I am going on Tuesday for umrah inshallah my cousin has kindly had some scarves the ones with elastic over the top of the head for me to wear there and also for my 7 years daughter. I do have an abaya, problem is it is a very thick material and I wil absolutley roast in it. Is it OK to wear the long scarf that comes to my thighs over my shalwar kameez or should I really wear an abaya? Its my first time I will be going so am not sure what I should do.

Of course when I am there I well buy A summer abaya as my mum bought one from there and they are according the the cclimate there.

It would be better for you to wear the abaya you own and then purchase one as soon as you got there. However, if you absolutely cannot wear it, then ensure the modesty of any shalwar that you wear with your burqah (I assume that a scarf with elastic up to your thighs is like the burqah worn by many sisters from far eastern countries such as Malaysia, etc.). Ensure that the shalwar is not overly decorated, nor should any part of your clothing be so thin that your body can be seen through it, especially in the bright sunshine.

Again, it would be better to wear the abaya you have and purchase a more suitable one when you get there.
