    Question 'Prostration' when reading the Holy Quran

    Salaams, everyone

    Can you perform Sajda anytime, after reading an Ayat (where you're required to prostrate) ?

    Or can you only do that after the prohibited 3 times ?

    JZK

    Bismillah...

    Unless you are in Salah, yes you can do them any time after you have recited the relevant Ayaat...

    JZK, Brother;

    So if you were to read the 'Sajda' Ayat in the prohibited times, it would be ok to prostrate ?

    I thought we can't perform *any* Sajda in the 'banned' times ?

    Bismillah...

    It would be permissible but Makruh Tanhzihan - i.e. somewhat disliked...

    Wa'alaikum salaam

    I think it would be okay for you to preform the Sajda. And it must be performed immediately after finishing the salat. Also brother if you are reciteing it from memory and not from the Mus-haf, so on this basis the sajdah will be okay for you to do, since it is not part of the prayer.

    I hope my answer helped you out
