I've heard Mufti Menk mention that he was the archbishop of canterbury but this isn't documented. Anyone know if this is true?

Asalamu 'alaykum Marco,
Pickthall was a convert to Islam, and wasn't ever an archbishop. Perhaps the Mufti has his stories mixed up as I seem to remember hearing that atranslator of the Qur'an was once a clergyman of some capacity. Pickthall embraced Islam in 1917 and is now buried in England in the same cemetery as Abdullah Yusuf Ali.
