Reminds me of a story I heard long time ago. Most likely from my Shaikh.
A person came to Maulana Rashid Ahmed Ganohi (rah) and said, Hazrat I have debt and please give me a wazifa so I'll help me pay off my debt (wordings were something like that).
Hazrat (rah) told him to pray Surah Yasin 40 times.
The person came again to Hazrat (rah) and said, no change has happen.
Hazrat asked him, are you praying Yasin 40 times.
The person said, Yes. Yasin, Yasin, Yasin, Yasin.....
Hazrat said, you're suppose to pray the whole Yasin Sharif 40 times, not just the name of the Surah.
Brother Taalib, have I got your email add?

Another thing ive found is when people do these amals, they expect instant results, like ive been doing this amal for 1 day,so why do i not see the benefits
If one looks at all these amals, the benefit is in the steadfastness of these amals. to do them, everyday and not expect instant results. Instant results are not beyond Allah, don't get me wrong.
the blessed way of the Prophetwas to always direct people to a'mal when they complained of any problem. This can be seen in the Seerah and the lives of the companions all the time.

What is the original source for this Surah Yasin to be read 41 times wazifah?
Just for my knowledge.

Assalam Alaikum.
The hadeeths which mention the virtues of Surah-e-Waqiya mention the word "night". And night starts immediately after sunset. Therefore you can recite it after maghrib.
But in most of the madaris, surah-e-waqiya is recited after Isha (infact students are instructed to recite it). And we have been told that it is the sunnah. Abdullah Bin Masood (RA) told his house members to recite Surah-e-Waqiya during the night, and i heard ulema say that it was after Isha.
And Allah knows best.

Assalam Aleikum
I started off reciting this blessed Surah after Ish'a Salah but it became difficult for me so I read it after Maghrib Salah instead, as I read it should be recited after Maghrib.
I started Reading it about 2-3 months ago not for any particular reason but with the intention of simply following a Sunnah of our blessed Nabi Sallallahu alaihe wasallam.
And Alhamdulillah I was blessed enough to notice the difference within a month.
May Allah bless the wealth, Rizq and Emaan of all my fellow muslilm brothers and sisters. Ameen.
