Default Remaining Motionless in Qawma and Jalsa

    As salamu alaykum,

Perusing throught the fiqh books of the Hanafi madhab, i have seen that they have regarded standing upright from ruku, sitting upright after sajdah as well as remaining motionless in qawma and jalsa as being a Sunnah part of the prayer (see Fatawa Alamgari)

Thus can we conclude that without all of that a salaat peckeling like a chicken would still be valid contraory to the three other madhab's ?

The stronger view is that those are wajib, not sunnah.

    And Allah Ta'ala knows best
Sahabah رضي الله عنهم would cling fast to the Sunnah, on account of it being Sunnah, while we discard the Sunnah, on account of it being (just) Sunnah!

    As salamu alaykum,

Why is it that the 500 or so authors of Fatawa Alamgari didnt know the stronger position ?

In which works is this stronger view about the jalsa and qawma recorded anyway ?

Was Fatawa Alamgiri authored by 500 odd Muftis, each of whom confirmed the authenticity of every ruling therein?
Please provide a proper source for this claim.

    As salamu alaykum,

I just know that 500 top Muftis from all over the sub-Continent gathered, and among them was father of Shah Waliullah (rah). They would only write a Maslah after they had all agreed on it.

So i am just asking if the stronger position is that it is wajib, how possible none of the 500 Muftis did know? Also you didnt provide were this ''stronger'' position is recorded.

This claim is precisely what I am asking the proof for.

    As salamu alaykum,

I dont no, you are the Ameer/Mufti here guess you know it better. My deal was not about the Fatawa Alamgiri anyway but about the position standing upright from ruku, sitting upright after sajdah as well as remaining motionless in qawma and jalsa. The position of being it a sunnah is mentioned in many main works like al-Hidayah etc.

Sudoku the speech about Alamgiri is also here: http://www.***********/forum/Topic322046-24-1.aspx

    Wa alaykum salaam,

Barakallahu fik for the nasiha, can we now have the answer on where the ''stronger'' view is to be found ?
