    Bismillah
I think it will come with training our nafs and most of us need it. We should not eat to full but stop eating when we still have urge. In this way inshaaAllah we can control

You just drink water for days which can vary like some will do for a day or a week, some for 2 weeks or more when the body will be cleansed of toxins and the nafs too will come down. But better to do after consulting some expert in that field. Allahu alam

Just to add, in case of confusion, water fasting is not an established act of worship or proven from sunnah. The members suggesting it are doing so as a form of disciplining the self, detoxify the body and controling the urge to overeat.

    Salam.
Date and water first. Some kind of chilled juice before Maghrib salat.

Finish maghrib and eat what would be usually my dinner.
    Next meal is usually Suhoor.
